Training on ‘Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction’

The executing agency is National Emergency Management Agency of Mongolia, will support the strengthening of community resilience to disaster risk, with a focus on dzuds and forests and steppe fires in 12 soums of Dornod, Sukhbaatar, Gobi-Altai and Khuvsgul aimags.

The third steering committee meeting of the project “Strengthening Community Resilience to Dzud and Forest and Steppe Fires” of the Asian Development Bank, NEMA was held on November 15, 2018 at the NEMA conference hall.

The Steering Committee meeting was chaired by the Chief of the NEMA, Major General T. Badral, and officials including Senior Advisor to Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia L.Sayanaa, senior specialist of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture and Head of 4 LEMA project aimags and 3 Soum Governors. The meeting discussed and approved the proposed action plan, training plan,procurement plan and budget.
